Chapter 6 - Rendering and illumination
The rendering and illumination of a scene are for many artists, one of
the most challenging aspects of a project developed in Blender. To make
things even more complicated, you must decide between two render
engines. Nowadays, Blender offers Eevee and Cycles.
In the following chapter, you will learn to choose between Cycles or
Eevee and prepare lights for a render. To help decide which one to
choose, we will show the full process required to set up a scene using
both engines.
Besides rendering, you will also learn more about shading and camera
setup.
Here is a list of what you will learn:
Differences between Eevee and Cycles
How to choose Eevee or Cycles for rendering
Use shading modes for render
Control camera settings
Adjust the focal length from cameras
Saving renders as images
Using environment maps
Add lights to the scene
Setup a project using Eevee and Cycles
